We are Northshore W.A.T.E.R.s (Water Awareness Through Environmental Reporting). We empower our Northshore community to understand, protect, and enjoy our waterways by providing clear water quality information, encouraging safe recreation, and supporting nature-based methods that benefit the health of the Lake Pontchartrain watershed.

OUR WORK

Northshore WATERs bridges the gap between existing environmental data and public outreach on the Northshore.

Non-profit Impact: Coordinating design, fundraising, and jurisdictional approvals to place public informational signage (and beyond) in areas that are of specific relevance to our local community.

Community Impact: Natural areas become an outdoor classroom for audiences of all ages while promoting the environmental work of area scientists and academic researchers in STEM fields.
